Ren Seto (瀬戸 蓮, Seto Ren) is the wife of Gōzaburō Seto and the mother of Sun Seto. Ren likes to encourage Sun and Nagasumi Michishio's marriage (the only other being Masa). She is the most feared member of the Seto Group, who usually tries to keep her husband and any other Seto Group members in check and often hands out extreme forms of punishment if they step out of line and she has the final say on all matters. She also enjoys teasing Nagasumi, whom she thinks to be cute. She transfers with several other members of the Seto Group to Nagasumi's school and becomes the new school nurse.

Personality

Ren is a kind and gentle person but she shows behavior much like a Yakuza member.

Trivia

• The name Ren means "lotus" (蓮) or "love" (恋).
• Ren's surname Seto means "swift current, rapids" (瀬) (se) and "door" (戸) (to).
• Like Sun Seto, pink flower petals can be seen falling and the song "Namida Ichirin" (Ren-san version (-蓮さんver.-)) can be heard in the background whenever Ren enters chivalry mode.
• In the final arc of the manga, is is revealed that Ren was born into a noble family (of the Taira family), but she left to elope with Gozaburo, cutting ties with them as a result. According to Terra, her grandfather recently quit being the "great general of Japan" and misses her. Sun was told that she left her family and had no home to return too.
